The MWD Administrative Code Settlement for non-pension benefits was given final approval by the Court on June 12, 2006. The time period for filing an Ad Code Claim Form ended on March 31, 2007. Class Counsel now are engaged in representing the nearly 2,000 individuals who filed timely Ad Code Claim Forms in a lengthy, interactive process with MWD and CalPERS to ensure that they receive the relief to which they are entitled under this settlement as well as the CalPERS Settlement. No funds can be distributed to eligible claimants until the implementation of both settlements has been completed and the Court orders the distribution of the funds. It is expected that the funds will not be distributed until the end of 2009, at the earliest. A description of the Ad Code Settlement can be found in the Class Notice.
